If there are foods that can help you gain flab, there are also drinks that help you lose weight.  Be wise and stay healthy, choose only the drinks that can give a lot of benefits to you and your body.

The Important Drinks

1.  Water

Plain water is the first on the list of drinks that can help you lose some pounds.  Drinking eight to ten glasses of ice cold water, in particular, can make you burn 250 to 500 calories a day.  Your body tends to burn more calories just to bring the cold water down to your body temperature’s level.  In addition try drinking warm lemon water upon rising, this acts as an extremely effective detoxifies and weight loss activator. Lemon water helps bind and flush out fat cells. To take it up another notch add some pre-soaked Chia seeds to the mix, this has the added protein and fiber to get your digestion revved up first thing in the morning. You can also have lemon water before meals to lessen the chances of bad saturated fat absorption.

2.  Coconut Water

Coconut water has more electrolytes than most commercial drinks minus the sugar and artificial flavorings.  It speeds up metabolism and supplies you with more energy to keep you going in your workout or simply through the day.

5.  Green Tea

Drinking three to five cups of green tea within a day could make you lose 35% to 45% more fat on that day.  It is not, however, advisable to drink as many cups of green tea on a daily basis.
